Timeless is a word that is thrown around a little too easily in my opinion. These designs are in our honest opinion describe timeless to a tee.
73 Ferrari Dino 246GTS
The Dino range was named after Enzo Ferrari’s son and future heir to the Ferrari empire, Alfredino. Originally made to compete with other V6 race cars this engine is still regarded as being well ahead of it's time. Fast becoming a sort after model by collectors.
Volkswagon Type 2
The Volkswagon Type 2 is the original hippie van. A lot of people including myself have long dreamt of chasing the sun in one of these reliable and easily serviced auto’s. A cult classic.
1961 Jaguar E-Type
The E-Type was made between ’61 and ’75 is said to be one of the greatest if not the greatest designed car produced in the UK. Hard to argue.
1925 Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Phantom I Round Door Coupé
Can you imagine seeing something like this rolling down the street in the 1920’s! A period when people are buying ice out of a truck for refrigeration. Blows my mind.
63 Chevrolet Corvette
The futuristic Fastback with the split window finish. These cars are super valuable as they are quite rare plus one of the most sort after Chevrolet models ever made.
Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman
First produced in ’63 the Pullman fast became popular with royalty, rockstars and dictators. A few people that have owned one include; John Lennon, Hugh Hefner, Pablo Escobar and even the King (yes I am talking about Elvis.
1955 Porsche Speedster 356 (Pre-A)
What no 911 I hear you say? Well this speedster was a stripped down version for people that wanted to race but could not stomach the price for a fully blown Porsche. Only 1233 were made and now the speedsters are one of the most sort after vehicle’s by collectors.
250 GT Lusso Ferrari
Once of the most luxurious sports cars made of its era. Originally sold for $13,375, the GTL sold in 2010 for $400,000 and $500,000, and currently in 2015 values are approaching 5 times this figure
While some may argue that this sports model is on the ugly side, I could not disagree more. The P1800 is now a classic and fully original models are very much sort after.
1960 Aston DB4 GT Zagato
It was originally released in 1960 as a a DB4 GT model that was lightened and improved by the Zagato factory in Italy. Demand was not strong at the time so only 20 models were made. Prices now are well over 1 Million pounds for this model.
1955 Citroen DS
I had to include the Citroen DS. Designed by a French and Italian designer this model is consistently polled as one of the most influential car models of all time.
1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Coupe
This gull wing designed masterpiece was the fastest production production car when it was released. With it’s low production numbers it is now one of the most sort after Mercedes Benz model of all time with prices ranging from 1-25 Million dollars.
Maserati Gran Turismo
While it is far too young to be a classic the GranTurismo in my opinion is the ultimate in design of cars that are currently being built. The V8 mixed with the 6 speed transmission and the tone you only get from a Maserati will make this a guaranteed classic.
